Boat Rental Without a Cabin

Where we are

Arriving in Chapleau, you can easily find our boat house. You will come over a high over pass to reach the main part of town. Turn left as soon as you have crossed this over pass, onto Pine Street. Drive along Pine Street for three blocks to Aberdeen Street and turn left again. We are at the north end of Aberdeen. The building has green and brown shingles on the walls and a metal roof. If you don't see anyone, please call us from the phone outside the boat house door.

What we supply and the cost

An aluminum boat with 8-hp Honda motor for $120.00 Canadian per day and that includes the gasoline for the duration of your use. If you take a boat for a week, you will be charged only for six days. The boat will be a deep and wide 14-footer. Larger 16-foot boats with 8-hp Honda motors are sometimes also available for $140.00 per day.

We rent only boats with motors and not just boats or just motors. Also please note that we rent boats only on the Chapleau Chain of Lakes. We do not have boats available to take to other lakes and do not consent to transporting our boats by trailer or truck.

We will supply a life jacket for each person and all other compulsory safety equipment. If you have your own life jackets, please bring them.

Minimum charge

Our minimum charge is for 1 full day.

Going camping?

If you plan to camp over night, please be sure to bring a shovel so you can dig a latrine hole, and don't forget plastic garbage bags. We will get rid of your trash when you bring it back at the end of your camping trip.
