This is a typical bunch of perch, caught by Ed Timm and his
buddies.
Perch get to be about thirteen inches long here with most that
are caught in the ten to twelve inch range. Night crawlers (dew
worms) work best. You should use a small hook and a bobber in three
to four feet of water. It is best to anchor close up to some lilly
pads or bulrushes. You don't have to go far. Right close to our
boat-in camp is as good as anywhere along the chain of lakes.
Sometimes perch will hit a walleye rig or even a minnow. If you
catch pike, move on. The perch won't associate with a pike.
