This hiking trail was named "Michael Levesque Trail" after the man who made it. It consist of a long and a short loop.
Once on the trail, a leisurely pace will take you through the
long loop in about one hour and fifteen minutes. The shorter loop
takes about forty minutes.
You will pass through a mixed forest
consisting mainly of spruce, poplar, birch, balsam and cedar. You are on a penninsula. At first, the
trail follows the bank of the Nebskwashi River and then
curves round and along the Kebsquasheshing River. The former is
also called the Back-River and the latter the Front-River.
- Walk east along Birch Street (Chapleau's main street). Birch Street ends at a cemetery but you continue east along Riverside Drive.
- Walk past the school on your left and continue till you see a grassy area between the road and the river. The trail's beginning is marked by a sign.
